In middle school many kids begin dating. First, you neeed to understand that there is no pressure on you to find a significant other. You have a lifetime ahead of you and nobody should make you feel like you need to start dating. Second, when people date in middle school there's a big chance that it won't last. I'm not saying that realtionships aren't worthwhile but it's something to remember. Also remember that when someone breaks up with you it doesn't mean that you aren't important, pretty, good enough or smart. Things just didn't work out and that's okay. You will find love, and while you probably won't in middle school, it will most likely happen. Love also does take a long time to happen, love at first sight only exists in storybooks and is most likely confused for lust in most cases. Also, dating isn't the most important thing. Many people will most likely judge you for too little or too many people that you've dated, but that doesn't matter. What matters is that you feel comfortable in your own body.
Breaking up can also be depressing. You might want to get another person as a 'rebound' but don't do that. Treat them as they are their own person. Also don't be a bitch to them .
